Responsibilities

Summary
Opportunity to supervise nurses and receptionists, working with the Manager and Patient Care Supervisor to offer quality services that exceed patient expectations. Assists patients, staff and providers as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population. Responsible for supervising and coordinating operations of the General Surgery, Urology and Wound Clinic departments and oversees 10 direct reports. Provides direct patient care and assists with triaging a high volume of calls in the clinical setting. Acts as a patient and employee advocate, works cooperatively with physicians and assures communications with and among staff and managers in accordance with the Sharp Rees-Stealy mission and goals statements.

Location
This position is located at the Frost Street clinic in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
 
Hours
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, no weekends
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education as required by the California Board of Registered Nursing
  • Current unencumbered CA RN license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum three (3) years RN work experience in related clinical area
  • Leadership experience
  • IV proficient

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
