Responsibilities

Summary

Perform work assignments to ensure a safe, sanitary, healthy, friendly and comfortable environment for visitors, patients, physicians and employees. Be committed to ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes and internal and external customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with Managers, Directors, and Physicians to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

The function of Plant Operations is to maintain facilities and medical equipment in a safe serviceable condition. Make routine and emergency repairs. Plant Operations consists of two divisions, Facilities and Bio-Med. The department operates with one Director, one Manager, one Supervisor and one Assistant to Manager with a team of 10 mechanics and 4 technicians. Facilities division is responsible for facility maintenance and repairs. It operates with five Mechanic IIs, four Mechanic Is, and one per diem Mechanic I. Bio-Med is responsible for medical equipment maintenance and repair. Bio-Med operates with on Lead Bio-Med technician and three Bio-Med technicians.

Location

This position is located in Kearny Mesa of San Diego County.

Hours

Per diem; position is for Tues, Wed, Thursdays only - 7:30am - 4:30pm

Required skills and Qualifications

Two to five years of progressive experience in the maintenance of hotels, hospitals or large office complexes.
Valid Driver's License and must meet all requirements of Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines to include ongoing motor vehicle report (MVR) review and insurability through Sharp HealthCare.
Annual Motor Vehicle Report.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), Trade School.
