The Manager Digital Strategy and Operationsposition is a results driven leader with a relentless desire to accomplish something great and is responsible for the leadership and management of the Digital Strategy & Operations team across all lines of business and products. Business segments include Commercial, Individual and Family Plans, Medicare, Government, ACA Exchange and off Exchange Plans and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans. The role is responsible for recommending and implementing the digital strategy, planning, design, operation and on-going updates to,,, Sharp Health Plan’s customer portals (member, broker, provider, and employer), payment and shop & enrollment portals, and other Sharp Health Plan websites, applications, CRM tools, and digital properties. It is responsible for leading best-in-class digital strategy, operations and experiences that drive top docile customer satisfaction and highly reliable digital properties!

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • Extensive experience and knowledge required in all aspects of digital with respect to: strategy, marketing, website and portal development, digital oversight, emerging technologies and trends, interactive design, content optimization, search, CRM/email & marketing automation, user experience, search, digital/website tools & analytics, and systems integration

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial, budget and strategic analysis and management skills resulting in actionable strategies

  • Comprehensive background in requirements definition, scoping, ROI analysis on projects budgets both large and small

  • Proven experience in building, developing and managing strategic partnerships and vendor management

  • Expertise in evaluating, selecting, managing and optimizing digital and technology initiatives

  • Can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications with various digital and technology vendors, products and tools

  • Demonstrated ability to work confidently with executives on plans, projects, programs and initiatives in a complex organizational environment or industry A team player who can effectively manage up and across an organization

  • Good at working with cross-functional teams

This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County



8-hour shift: some evenings and weekends as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Five (5)  or more years in a leadership role managing cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams overseeing website launches or redesigns

  • 5-7years demonstrated digital strategy, marketing, operations, development and Web analytics expertise

  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with C-level executives and cross-functional teams

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal & written communication,  persuasiveness, assertiveness, initiative, sensitivity and the ability to package’ information in a clear strategic direction

  • Proven technical skills in content management systems (Sitefinity preferred) and content workflows, Salesforce and related applications, email marketing and marketing automation (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

  • Experience with emerging web tools and platforms and occasional work outside normal business hours to respond to customer issues, implementations, and required maintenance

  • Experience with advanced web tools and platforms as well as understanding of technical specifications, web development and basic understanding of HTML and programming languages

  • Experience with websites that integrate databases, CMS-driven content, IT systems, CRM/Salesforce, email and marketing automation tools, application-like functionality, ecommerce and/or APIs

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health plans, health insurance products and employee benefits

  • Project management certification (PMP)

  • LEAN experience (Green belt)

  • Solid understanding of CAHPs, NCQA ratings, Medicare Stars program and Medicare Marketing Guidelines

  • Google Analytics certification
