This position manages a team who are responsible for all pharmacy related technology solutions in collaboration with Sharp IT. You will advise the System Pharmacy Vice President and the entity pharmacy managers on the direction and development of technology solutions. You will direct the pharmacy informatics team to provide support to the entity pharmacies including integration between systems, processes, policies, SOPs as well as the change management requirements to ensure technology adoption. Provides training and direction to the pharmacy informatics team and stays current in informatics standards, pharmacy practice, and technology design. You will be responsible for the oversight and integrity of pharmacy related technology solutions by collaborating with necessary sponsors and stakeholders. You manage a team of 7 direct reports.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: System Pharmacy Services, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County.
- Current unencumbered CA Pharmacist license
Minimum of three (3) years clinical hospital experience and three (3) years in clinical informatics required.
Proven technology implementation and optimization experience in an integrated delivery network (IDN) setting preferred.
Experience with change management processes related to a variety of technology such as: eMAR, CPOE, and BCMA; automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose robotics, carousel, and tracking systems; surveillance monitoring, intervention, and decision support programs; and financial based solutions such as procurement, inventory management, and data analytic solutions is highly desirable.

- Previous management experience preferred
