Hours
8-hour day: 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse (CA RN) license
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ clinical experience in health care setting. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in quality performance improvement 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ in a supervisory role
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters of Science Degree in healthcare, nursing, or leadership related discipline
  • HMO experience and medical group experience

 


Summary
The Manager of Quality Improvement is fully accountable for the collaboration with the SRS leadership team and SRS medical group to identify, develop and implement an effective quality management program that includes critical measurement methods for quality improvement, credentialing and peer review, quality incentive programs, and risk management. Researches, analyzes, communicates laws and regulations that may have impact on SRS policies and procedures and assures that policies and procedures are in compliance with NCQA standards, legislative, and contracted health plan requirements. Assesses and determines periodic monitoring and auditing process and activities to ensure compliance with health plan, federal, state contractual and legal requirements for all product lines (i.e. HMO, PPO, ACO both commercial and senior) Is fully responsible for the operations of the Quality Improvement Department and determines the execution and coordination of all performance improvement activities. Identifies, develops and coordinates interdepartmental projects to assure quality outcomes and alignment with SRS strategic objectives. Is fully responsible for developing department budget.
The department of Quality Improvement - is located at the downtown 4th Avenue site and is comprised of two RN’s (Manager and QI Lead), two LVN’s, four Credentialing Specialists, as well as a Quality Management Specialist, Compliance Coordinator and an Administrative Assistant. Functions within the department include Quality Management, Credentialing, Compliance and Risk Management.
