This Medical Administrative Assistant represents Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patients with appointments, information, and other operational support services for the assigned department. Provide clinical nursing support to the patients by demonstrating technical expertise and competence, within the established scope of practice. Provide a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our Mission and Goals.

For patient convenience and improved coordination of care, Sharp Rees-Stealy offers services like laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, and urgent care within each clinic or nearby.

This position will float to multiple SRS System-Wide Locations.


Per Diem, Days - 8-Hour Variable Shifts (between the hours of 0700-1800) - Monday-Friday

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Navy Hospital Corps School with proof of Medical Assistant certification of completion.
  • One (1) year Medical Assistant in a related clinical area
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare)
  • Medication administration proficiency is necessary.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills are required.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Medical Administrative Assistant training from an approved program 
  • Ambulatory Care Experience
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish 
  • Hospital Corpsman
