Responsibilities
Summary
The Medical Assistant will assist patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to designated patient population. The Medical Assistant will float to various specialties to provide patient care. Position responsibilities includes department efficiency and effectiveness by answering phones, department organization of monitoring patient flow, physician schedules and completes daily tasks and supply inventory. Responds quickly to urgent situations, prepare exam room and patients for exams, accurately documents patient care per protocol, partners with clinical team and physicians. Assist in minor office procedures and medication administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Navy Hospital Corps School required
- Minimum one to three years Medical Assistant experience in related clinic
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Medication administration proficiency
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be flexible and have a strong sense of teamwork
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Hospital Corpsman
