The Medical Assistant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care assistance to defined patient population. This position will work closely with the physician to manage panel of patients and ensure a smooth patient flow and clinic operation.
Position responsibilities will include answering messages, returning phone calls, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams, assisting with clinical procedures.

This position is located in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego County. This position will require the employee to also travel to the Sharp Rees-Stealy Carmel Valley and Del Mar medical offices.
Per Diem Day Shift; No weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Navy Hospital Corps School
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- One to three years Medical Assistant experience in a related clinical setting
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible and have a strong sense of teamwork
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Ambulatory care/Physician office experience
- Medical Assistant certification
