The Medical Assistant will assist patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to designated patient population. Position responsibilities includes department efficiency and effectiveness by answering phones, department organization of monitoring patient flow, physician schedules and completes daily tasks and supply inventory. Responds quickly to urgent situations, prepare exam room and patients for exams, accurately documents patient care per protocol, partners with clinical team and physicians. Assist in minor office procedures and medication administration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Navy Hospital Corps School required - Proof of Medical Assistant Certification
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- 1-3 years Medical Assistant experience in a related clinic
- Computer and keyboarding skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be flexible and have a strong sense of teamwork
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Current ambulatory care experience
- Family Practice Experience
- Medical Assistant certified (CMA)
- Hospital Corpsman
