Required Skills and Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work
- LCSW licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Two years working in an Inpatient or Outpatient Mental Health facility
- Two years with group therapy experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships with physicians, treatment team and other departments
Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate supervision within the scope of care in a manner that is cost-effective and appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age and culture. Completes all documentation to meet regulatory and financial requirements. Provides cooperative and courteous services to internal and external customers as part of Sharp HealthCare's commitment to customer satisfaction. Promotes constructive working relationships and works effectively as a part of the team to facilitate its ability to meet its goals and objectives. Performs duties as necessary for efficient departmental functioning and optimal patient care delivery. Identifies own needs for skills training and practice opportunities and demonstrates initiative in taking classes or attending programs related to work area and may contribute to professional development/education of staff members, other professionals and/or general public. Models professional behavior by being a member of local, state, and/or national psychological organizations.
Outpatient Services is an interdisciplinary team that provides care and treatment to Adults with Serious Mental Illness. The position requires the ability to perform a multitude of clinical duties, including patient education, case management, treatment planning and group therapy.
