The MRI Technologist performs a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians an as needed. Communicates pertinent system issues to the Lead/Supervisor/PACS Manager/System Analyst or vendor in a timely basis. Maintains department regulatory requirements. Verifies physician orders and utilizes RIS correctly to complete all documentation. Will follow department guidelines in compliance with AAAHC. Will adhere to making timely accurate and safe decision regarding patients. Provides pre and post education to patients and their families and communicates/interacts with patients and family in a positive and supportive manner while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers offers radiology services at 14 convenient locations throughout San Diego County. Our services are provided with state of the art digital and CR imaging equipment sent and stored in PACS. We offer services for General, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, Mammography, Ultrasonography, CT and MRI imaging needs. Our Radiology staff are highly trained and certified to meet the needs of San Diego Community. This position is located at the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Center– Mira Mesa in the community of Mira Mesa, San Diego County
- Satisfactory completion of MRI formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent
- ARRT certification in MRI or ARMRIT
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association
- CSRT Venipuncture Certification
- One or more years of experience as a MRI Technologist
- Working knowledge of all MRI exams and experience with PACS system
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be flexible with schedule
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience with I-CAD
