This position will be working with work injuries and assisting with employer physicals. Vital signs, ECG, urine drug screens, audio testing, pulmonary function testing, breath alcohol testing.
The Sharp Rees-Stealy Department of Occupational Medicine consists of 15 providers on our staff to help meet the needs of our patients and is located at 6 of our Sharp Rees-Stealy medical clinics in San Diego (Chula Vista, Downtown, Genesee, La Mesa, Sorrento Mesa, and Rancho Bernardo).

Sharp Rees-Stealy has been serving the health care needs of San Diegans since 1923 when doctors Clarence Rees and Clair Stealy formed San Diego's first multispecialty medical group practice. Today, Sharp Rees-Stealy has 22 locations and 450 primary care doctors and specialists representing virtually every field of medicine.

This position will float to various Sharp Rees-Stealy medical offices in San Diego County
Per Diem 8-Hour Day Shift; No Weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Navy Hospital Corps School
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • One year Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory care clinic
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment, computer and customer service skills
  • Must be flexible and well organized
  • Good team player skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Occupational Medicine or Urgent Care experience
  • Current California Medical Assistant certification
  • Occupational Medicine or Urgent Care experience
  • CAOHC and Spirometry certified preferred but will train
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
