The Occupational Therapist II evaluates, plans, directs and administers occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities
Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center has provides comprehensive rehabilitation services throughout San Diego County, such as inpatient rehabilitation following catastrophic strokes, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries; outpatient rehabilitation for neurological concerns, sprains, strains and injuries; and specialty therapy services for problems related to balance, speech, lymphedema and chronic pain. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has awarded Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center with a special designation for the rehabilitation of patients with brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and general rehabilitation designations.

This position is located at Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Department in the community of Serra Mesa in San Diego County
8 hour shifts; Full-time position to work Day Shift hours; 7:30 am – 4:00 PM; will work one weekend day per month
Graduate of an approved professional school or graduate of an accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy
Current California State Occupational Therapist Licensure
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
Two or more years of recent experience in all aspects of Occupational Therapy
Experience in acute Occupational Therapy.
