Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OT Assistant provides occupational therapy care to patients with impaired disease or injury. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, and instructs parents and caregivers in recommended therapy interventions to promote optimal developmental functioning. Participates in operational aspects of the department. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities.

This position is based the community Kearny Mesa in San Diego County
The OT Assistant will be visiting patients throughout San Diego County.
8-hour shifts; Full-time position to work Day Shift hours; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; not weekends
- Valid BLS for HealthCare Providers by the American Heart Association
- Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment methods
- Skill to document patient care and progress notes efficiently in an electronic health record
- Ability to provide in home care to a diverse patient population
- Effective communication skills, problem-solving abilities and must be self-motivated, and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must willing to be actively involved in professional development
- Completion of an Associate Degree in a qualified COTA program
- Two or more years of COTA experience
- Home Health experience
