The Ophthalmic Tech II will assist the Ophthalmologist and/or Optometrist with patients and maintains patient flow.  Initiates the examination by taking patient history and performing high level diagnostic testing. Coordinates surgical procedures.
Located in the beautiful Sharp Memorial Hospital Outpatient Pavilion, Sharp Rees-Stealy Surgical Eye Consultants specialize in refractive surgery, retinal care, corneal care, and glaucoma care. We are looking for a cheerful, positive individual to join our dynamic Eye Care team!

This position is located in the Sharp Memorial Outpatient Pavilion in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
Temporary full time. 8-hour day shift: 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends  
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current BLS certification by American Heart Association
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ current experience in Ophthalmology at an Assistant level
  • Successful completion of skills inventory
  • Knowledge of eye medications, use and care of instruments, and sterile techniques
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
