The Patient Service Representative represents Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patients with appointments, information and other operational support services for assigned department. Provides a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our Mission and Goals. Responsible for patient registration, demographic and insurance updates. Confirms insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations for service. Works with patients to resolve billing and insurance related issues.
The Sharp Rees-Stealy Department of Internal Medicine consists of 53 providers on our staff to help meet the needs of our patients and is located at 11 of our Sharp Rees-Stealy medical clinics in San Diego (Carmel Valley/Del Mar, Chula Vista, Downtown-San Diego, El Cajon, Genesee, La Mesa, Sorrento Mesa, Otay Ranch, Point Loma, Rancho Bernardo and Scripps Ranch).

This position is located in Carmel Del Mar, San Diego County.
Part Time .8, Monday and Friday 0830-1730, Tuesday varies between 0830-1730 and 1200-2030, off Thursday
Required Skills and Qualifications
Medical office experience required with a strong emphasis in customer service, computer skills, and phones or completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Medical Terminology required.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program preferred.
