Physical Therapist I evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities when requested.
Documentation is completed in a timely, complete, legible, concise and accurate manner. Documentation follows Sharp HealthCare guidelines, professional guidelines, and meets third-party payor and regulatory requirements. Maintains records pertinent to departmental operations. Completes all documentation elements as appropriate (Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, Education record, billing, discharge plan, and others).

The Staffing Resource Network (SRN) is seeking experienced Physical Therapists to work the float pool. Work per diem status throughout the Sharp HealthCare system. This is a float pool position through Staffing Resource Network (SRN). The SRN department offers opportunities to experience a wide range of patient care at various sites within Sharp HealthCare. Sharp promotes quality patient-family centered care in a team environment with excellent customer service. This position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual willing to be a part of a dynamic float pool servicing all of Sharp HealthCare.
This position will be required to float to different Sharp facilities in San Diego County
Weekend Requirement is 4X(8 Hour) Weekend Shifts per 4 weeks
One Major and One Minor Holiday Required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved and accredited Physical Therapy school or program
- Recent inpatient experience
Physical Therapist (PT)-REQUIRED
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)-REQUIRED
