The Physical Therapist II – NICU will evaluate and treat patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care environment, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, in a manner that is cost-effective and appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age and culture. He or she will complete all documentation to meet regulatory and financial requirements. A good candidate will demonstrate sound clinical skill and the willingness to learn via external and internal continuing education opportunities. Excellent communication skills are necessary when working with a variety of referring providers, a diverse patient population, and a large clinical staff. The physical therapist will provide cooperative and courteous service to internal and external customers as part of Sharp HealthCare's commitment to customer satisfaction.

This position is located at Sharp Memorial Hospital in the Acute Rehab Department in the community Serra Mesa, San Diego County
- Current California Physical Therapist licensure
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Three or more years of experience in pediatric and neonatal aspects of Physical Therapy
- Acute Pediatric hospital experience
- CCS Paneling certificate is required within six months of hire
- Must complete Sharp neonatal Training/Competency program
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have a desire to promote the profession of physical therapy and an eagerness to learn through continuing education
