The Physical Therapist Specialist III, evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment under the prescription of a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in continuous quality improvement activities and documentation review when requested. Will serve as a resource for the professional development of the physical therapy department and the individual physical therapist. Will be available for formal and informal consultation for staff therapists. Will serve as a mentor for other staff physical therapists. Will assist the supervisors in the physical therapy department with staffing issues, administrative issues and coverage as acting supervisor as needed in the supervisor’s absence.

8 hour shifts; full-time day shift position to work 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; no weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent
- CA State license in Physical Therapy
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Five or more years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy
- Proactive problem-solving skills and time management skills
- Effective customer service driven communications skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience treating the neurological population, conducting mobility assessments, working with power mobility devices and customized seating.
- Adaptive technology professional certification
