Responsibilities

Summary
The PPE Tech manages the acquisition, storage, flow and tracking of supplies and equipment for assigned facility. Engages in procuring, tracking, maintaining and safeguarding supplies. Collaborates with departments and supply chain staff to identify optimal sources for all supplies. Establishes, maintains, and reviews par inventory levels. Develops and facilitates appropriate dialogue with clinical staff regarding inventory management practices. Provides timely communications regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause, and resolution of inventory variances

Location

This position is located in multiple North County clinics, San Diego County

 
Hours
 *This is a temporary position and the end date will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on the COVID situation
Variable 8-hour shift, weekends as needed
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent  

  • Knowledge of Medical Equipment/Supplies

  • Computer Applications including Excel and SharePoint

  • Must be able to commit to a flexible schedule

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills-including escalation and education

  • Manage Inventory, including PAR levels, AM/PM counts and ordering adequate supplies for restocking

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with interacting with a wide variety of individuals, including patients, physicians, leadership and co-workers

     
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

  • One (1) year medical/inventory management for primary care and/or specialties

  • Ability to deliver supplies
