What You Will Do
The Compliance Program Manager is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Sharp HealthCare Compliance Program spanning hospitals, medical groups, health plan and any other affiliated entity. This position uses technical, administrative, and facilitation skills to support the effectiveness and on-going improvement of Sharp's compliance program. Reporting to the Hospital Compliance Director, the Compliance Program Manager works closely with the compliance team and internal stakeholders to meet system wide compliance program objectives efficiently and effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 Years in the healthcare industry implementing projects and analyzing internal business processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) - Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) -PREFERRED
Essential Functions
- Program Management
Ensures successful delivery of the compliance program's overall objectives by directing, overseeing and mentoring the project managers/team members of the program's component projects.
Creates and enhances quarterly Sharp HealthCare Board and Executive Compliance Committee meetings reporting of program progress and performance ensuring appropriate, timely and accurate information.
Manages the execution of the annual system wide Compliance Work Plan within expected timeframes.
Provides effective executive-level and SHC Board updates in both verbal and written formats.
Demonstrates consistent and effective application of Project and Program Management Techniques.
Leads the development of and manages the attainment of program goals and objectives.
Facilitates the integration and coordination of the various component project teams' efforts in order to meet program objectives.
Successfully manages interactions with stakeholders, including senior executives.
Develops tools, templates and other compliance or project management resources for the compliance program.
Administers the Compliance Management System. - Problem Analysis and resolution
Develops and maintains up to date tracking dashboards across all areas of the program(s) including measures of status, performance, milestones, and adherence to standards.
Proactively looks for improvement opportunities taking the initiative to investigate possible solutions and take action or propose solutions where the scope of the issue extends beyond the team.
Produces clear, concise, and thorough analysis of issues. Presents effectively in writing and verbally to all levels of management. - Cooperation and Teamwork
Supports development of expanded annual compliance education materials.
Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Provides consultation toward resolving issues for departments in a professional and timely manner. - Supports Compliance leadership as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Prefer knowledge of pertinent compliance regulatory requirements and compliance program.
- High level proficiency in Office 365 suite of tools.
- Ability to effectively direct highly experienced professionals in multiple disciplines without direct reporting relationships. Ability to negotiate for resources, budgets, scope and timelines at the executive level.
