The Project Manager I is part of a dynamic Project Management Office with responsibilities for managing a variety of IS application and infrastructure projects. This position ensures that project requirements are clearly defined and approved, that they provide expected solutions, are delivered on time, within budget and at acceptable levels of satisfaction by internal clients. The Sharp IS PMO is committed to providing the highest quality services to our customers, by making a consistent effort to meet customer expectations and supporting Sharp’s goal to become a High Reliability Organization.

ISD PMO provides project management support to multiple areas of the organization.  The position provides the opportunity to take on a variety of complex multi-year  projects and shorter duration initiatives both application and infrastructure focused.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego.
8-hour shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS in  Computer Science,  Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field
  • PMI PMP Certification
  • Project team leadership
  • Experience managing a variety of projects with successful outcomes
  • Project Management in a highly structured PMO may be substituted for healthcare experience
  • Proficiency in Project Server and SharePoint
  • Ability to effectively lead projects using standard project management methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles
  • Knowledge of Information Systems principles and practices and nomenclature
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Five years of experience in a health care system
  • Prior experience leading Information Systems projects in a healthcare environment
  • Associate DBIA Certificate
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
