The Psych Social Worker is responsible for conducting behavioral health psychosocial assessments and clinical interventions, inclusive of individual, group, and family therapy. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team, the Psych Social Worker coordinates patient care and provides case management for assigned patients.
Adult Outpatient Services at the Mid City location is a highly intensive treatment program that treats both young adults in the Transitional Age Youth (TAY) program experiencing mood disorders, thought disorders and co-occurring mental health issues as well as adults managin more chronic symptoms of mental illness. Both programs offer a support therapeutic setting for patients experiencing significant disruption in daily living and takes a short term, group oriented, modified cognitive behavior approach.

This position is primarily located at the Mid City Campus. This position will work across multiple outpatient programs where need is in demand. Geographic locations include the following three San Diego campuses: East County, Mid City, and San Diego Main.
Part-time (0.8 FTE) 8-hour shift; 8:30 am -5:00 pm, no weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- LCSW License
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
- One year of experience in a behavioral health setting
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience treating patients with mood disorders
- ACT experience
- Experience in an intensive outpatient mental health setting
- Harm reduction and crisis management skills
