The Radiology Technologist - Fluoro will be responsible for all general radiology and fluoroscopy exams within SRS Radiology. The Radiologic Technologist – Fluoro produces high quality exams in compliance with department policy, procedures and guidelines. Demonstrates commitment to providing safe, efficient quality care. Provides pre and post procedure education to patient and family. Verifies physician orders and utilizes RIS correctly to complete all paperwork. Adheres to all Sharp Healthcare practices and policies. Follows Sharp Behavior Standards and AIDET. Complies with all regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and other mandatory training within established time frames.
Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers offers radiology services at 14 convenient locations throughout San Diego County. Our services are provided with state of the art digital and CR imaging equipment sent and stored in PACS. We offer services for General, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, Mammography, Ultrasonography, CT and MRI imaging needs. Our Radiology staff are highly trained and certified to meet the needs of San Diego Community. With over 500 primary care and specialty care physicians providing care at 22 facilities throughout the region, Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is one of the largest, most comprehensive medical groups in San Diego County, and is recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction and clinical care. For patient convenience and improved coordination of care, Sharp Rees-Stealy offers services in laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy optical and urgent care within each medical center or nearby.
This position is located in Sorrento Mesa in San Diego, CA; will be required to float to a variety of Sharp Rees-Stealy Clinics within San Diego County, ie, Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo and Del Mar.
6 to 8-hour shifts: to primarily work Weekend and Monday shifts; work hours will vary according to clinic hours of operation.
Saturday & Sunday – 2:00 pm > 8:00 pm
Monday – 8:30 AM > 5: 30 PM
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- CRT License and CA Fluoroscopy certification
- Working knowledge of all Radiology exams
- Excellent customer service skills
- Skill to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- One or more years of experience as Radiologic Technologist
