What You Will Do
To perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - CA Department of Public Health
- Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit - CA Department of Public Health
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologist
- ARRT Certificate - ARRT
Essential Functions
- Communicates pertinent system issues to the Lead/Supervisor/PACS Manager/Systems Analyst or vendor on a timely basis.
- Maintains department regulatory requirements.
- Accurately utilize RIS and Synapse downtime procedures when necessary.
- Supports organizational cost containment.
- Accurately selects Sharp Healthcare medical record number (Patient) and exam from IIP/Worklist.
- Provides pre and post procedure education and reassurance to include but not limited to: What the procedure is, how long it is going to take, physician involved, contrast administration and mode of delivery, positioning, instructions related to procedure, the report, patient satisfaction form.
- Maintain AM/PM temperature logs when required.
- Verifies patient identification and pregnancy status through the use of double identifiers (name and DOB).
- Demonstrates commitment to quality and operational excellence through creativity, seeking continuous improvement and initiating breakthroughs.
- Follows departmental Safety Policies and Procedures regarding one's personal protection and patient safety.
