- Critical Thinker
This will be an interim charge nurse position over the ENT and Urology departments. Charge nurse will be responsible for running daily huddles, maintaining department flow. They will act as a resource, cover for staff as needed, ensure break coverage for staff and will initiate service recovery as needed.
The Registered Nurse - RN practices nursing within the scope of practice as designated in the Business and Professions Code of California Nurse Practice Act, and maintains critical skills as outlined in scope of practice (i.e. IV skills).Maintains a productive and effective team and worker friendly environment.Identifies and assists with resolving issues regarding staffing and equipment needs. RN assists patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to the designated patient population. Assists with the leadership of the Nursing and Patient Service Representative staff. Serves as technical nursing expert for assigned areas.

This position is located at San Diego-Main, San Diego County
This is a temporary position for a duration of 3-6 months
8:00am – 5:00pm, no weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education as required by the California Board of Nursing
Current unencumbered CA RN license
Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association
Current ACLS certification
Minimum one (1) year RN work experience in related clinical area
Previous medical/surgical and/or varied ambulatory care clinical experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
Leadership experience strongly preferred
