Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Health or Public Administration, or related field
- Three years related experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative approaches), patient data analysis and management
- Excellent analytical, project management and independent problem-solving skills
- Highly proficient with spreadsheet and database management, MS office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), Nvivo and web-based intelligent platforms and dashboards
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, physicians, and outside organizations
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
The Senior Specialist, Consumer Research will oversee the Consumer Research department and act as system expert on patient and physician satisfaction measurement system awareness, perception and utilization studies, be the primary liaison for the measurement vendors and serve as the key resource for system needs in this area. The Consumer Research Department is looking for a bright, energetic individual with excellent communication and data analysis skills. The position offers high visibility through interaction with all Sharp entities and employees of all levels, providing the opportunity to build relationships across the system. In addition to the consultative role, this person will be responsible for providing individual and group training on the measurement tools used throughout the system. The position also includes opportunities to conduct ad hoc research including focus groups, survey development and other market research studies.
The Marketing and Communications Division is responsible for the overall strategic marketing and communications planning and implementation for Sharp. This includes branding, advertising, customer relationship marketing, creative services, media and public relations, internal communications, consumer research, special events, multicultural services and consumer information services. Additionally, the division is the overall system champion of The Sharp Experience and coordinates and directs The Sharp University.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
