Responsibilities

Summary

The Speech I evaluates and treats patients within the scope of care in a manner that is cost-effective and appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age and culture. Documents and enters all elements of patient management. Serves as clinical resource and contributes to professional development/education of staff members, other professionals and/or general public and provides training for staff in area(s) of expertise. Works effectively as a part of the team to facilitate its ability to meet its goals and objectives, for efficient departmental functioning and optimal care delivery.

This is a float pool position through Staffing Resource Network (SRN). The SRN department offers opportunities to experience a wide range of patient care at various sites within Sharp HealthCare. Sharp promotes quality patient-family centered care in a team environment with excellent customer service. This position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual willing to be a part of a dynamic float pool servicing all of Sharp HealthCare.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and

This position will float throughout all Sharp HealthCare facilities

 Hours

SRN Per Diem employees are expected to work 4 shifts in a 4 week period with one of the shifts being a Saturday or Sunday.  Along with a major and minor holiday

 Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current California State Speech Therapy Licensure
  • Current BCLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • One or more years of recent experience in all aspects of speech therapy

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Speech Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Speech Therapy
