The Supervisor Cardiology/Ultrasound provides management support and coordinates the daily operations of Heart & Vascular Services. The duties include supervision of daily work activities of the Heart & Vascular staff, Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasonographers, Non-Invasive Cardiology Technologists, Imaging Assistants and Transcriptionist. Assists Manager of Heart & Vascular Services with operational planning and provides daily work direction to achieve organizational and department objectives.
The Cardiac Cath Lab at Sharp Memorial Hospital has four cardiac cath suites and a nine bed CV staging unit. The common patient population consists of diagnostic cardiac and peripheral catheterization, percutaneous coronary and peripheral intervention, as well as electrophysiology procedures patients. We provide pre and post op patient care and assist physicians with procedures including trans-esophageal echocardiography, ECHO guided endo-myocardial biopsies, tilt table studies and arrhythmia cardioversion.

This position is located at Sharp Memorial Hospital in the Community of Serra Mesa, San Diego County
- Successful completion of accredited Cardiovascular program
- ARDMS or equivalent
- Minimum two years clinical experience in non-invasive cardiology
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association
- Knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular and vascular procedures
- Computer skills to include Prosolv, EchoPac, Lawson Web, Time & Attendance, Marquette Muse, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Customer driven interpersonal/communication skills; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability work with angry and/or frustrated customers, maintaining a polite courteous attitude
- Demonstrated leadership skills and/or project management
