The Surgical Supply Chain Coordinator reports to the Director of Materials Management (with indirect reports to the Director(s) of Surgery) and will provide leadership and direction to employees assigned to supply chain related activities in surgical areas at SMMC. This position will drive operational and financial outcomes by instituting strong inventory management practices and will provide education and training on supply chain related processes and technologies deployed in surgical areas. This position will develop analytics required to support the Value Analysis process by facilitating site level committee meetings and will gather information required to make sound decisions on new product requests. The successful candidate will be actively engaged with leadership, physicians, and front-line teams utilizing healthcare expertise, operational experience, project management, greenbelt, and analytical skills to identify and implement operational improvements. This position works collaboratively with surgical leadership in the development, analysis, and communication of new program initiatives, cost saving strategies, and in the research of financial, operational, and business issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
College degree or 4 years related work experience required. Please include a cover letter that discusses your related work experience.
Must have knowledge of healthcare inventory management principles.
Experience with driving financial and operational outcomes with limited supervision.
Advanced computer skills; including the following application software programs to independently prepare reports using graphics and spreadsheets: MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience in creating reports that includes calculations, in addition to raw data, for greater clarity is required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Experience with the following is strongly preferred: Lawson (including Lawson Query Wizard), Oracle, MS, SQL Server, Tableau, or Crystal Reports.
