This role is responsible for assisting and facilitating the performance of surgical procedures under the direction and supervision of the attending surgeon. This role will also supporting surgeons by assisting with surgical procedures, all appropriate paperwork, and supports the operating room team.
This position is primarily responsible to assist General Surgery. Excellent opportunity for a self motivated, detail oriented team player working directly with surgeons and patients in a fast paced environment.
This position will be working with General Surgery at the Sharp Rees Stealy location and will be performing job duties in at Sharp Memorial Hospital Surgery Department and at the Outpatient Pavilion Surgery Center.

This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County (Sharp Memorial Hospital or Outpatient Pavilion Surgery Departments)
- Successful completion of an approved program for Operating Room/Surgical Technicians
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
- Demonstrated ability to perform scrub person duties competently for surgical procedures
- Demonstrate ability to accurately maintain written records
- One year scrub experience in a hospital setting
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Strong robotic surgery experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
