Responsibilities

Summary

Our Surgical Technologist team members will use their expertise in asepsis and equipment to prepare the operating room. They will work to help ensure that the operating room is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety while maintaining the integrity of the sterile field. Surgical Technologists team members will also organize and coordinate turnover of instruments and equipment with the Operating Room team and Sterile Processing Distribution team.

The Surgical Department has just moved into its brand new state of the art facility. The multi-specialty surgical services is comprised of 12 OR suites. Some of the nationally recognized programs are in Bariatric, Robotic, and Open Heart and Transplant.

This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County

Hours

Full Time - 12 hour - Evening position

10:30am - 11:00pm

Weekends - Every other weekend requirement

On call requirement

Required Skills and Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist School/Course or demonstrated technical skills via on the job training
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

One year scrub experience in an hospital setting
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Two to three years’ operating room – surgical experience
High School diploma or equivalent
