What You Will Do
This role provides, promotes and maintains a highly professional, visible and integrated image of Sharp HealthCare Recruitment. This role Utilizes established and develops new outreach opportunities with community and educational organizations for recruitment and workforce purposes for Sharp Health Plan. This role provides consultations to Sharp Health Plan clients on market analysis of hard to fill roles and and make appropriate recommendations for recruitment and selection processes. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will utilize sourcing skills to network with passive and active candidates while providing a positive candidate experience. This role will collaborate with the Sharp Health Plan team members on implementing hiring best practices in the selection process and provide guidance and training to hiring leaders on candidate experience. This is an independent role and one will make independent decisions on applicant qualifications and appropriateness of hire with recommendations to management clients. As an integral member of the Recruitment team, this role will attend the Department meetings, attend career fairs, and support recruitment activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Health care or related field (equivalent experience may substitute for education)
  • 4 Years Experience in recruitment or human resource services for multi-sited company or a large organization (equivalent clinical experience for specialty areas in lieu of direct human resource or recruitment experience will be considered)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SHRM, or AIRS Certification
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with health plans
  • Demonstrates the ability to be a self-starter
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all levels including staff to executive leadership

Essential Functions

  • Collaboration and teamwork
    Participates as a member of the recruitment team, acting as a resource for other staff members and a collaborative member of HR team to foster process improvement. Effectively communicates ideas and recommendations in appropriate forums. Promotes a positive image of HR and Recruitment to SHC and externally.
    Consulting and communication
  • Creates and implements management training opportunities and consulting strategies which support integrated long term workforce planning initiatives for SHC (i.e. succession planning, retention planning), facilitating a training plan regarding workforce planning issues (Selection Interviewing, Hiring Negotiations). Researches, recommends and facilitates the use of alternative sourcing strategies (i.e., preceptorships and mentoring programs, educational affiliations) for all professions (entry level, specialty and executive).
  • Customer service
    Provides comprehensive and effective consulting services on recruitment planning related issues for clients. Develops and maintains working relationships with clients, balancing services and consultant role. Develops indicators to monitor and evaluate candidate sourcing for quality of services provided for return on investment. (ROI) Follows up with management concerns regarding recruitment strategies and consulting activities, and resolves issues with input or involvement of Recruitment and Sharp Health Plan leadership.
    Recognizes potential problems and possible alternative solutions collaborating with hiring manager as soon as possible. Proactively incorporates client feedback into further development of strategies and services by contributing suggestions in team meetings.
  • Recruitment
    Conducts searches for all position levels up to and including Leadership and Executive positions, utilizing multifaceted sourcing strategies. Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate internal resources, universities/schools, community resources, professional organizations and candidates to create highly qualified applicant pools for SHC. Assists in offer negotiations as needed, with knowledge of SHC hiring guidelines, internal equity and market demands. Analyzes and updates annual recruitment strategies.
    Assists managers in coordination of candidate interviews, panel interviews, timely selections and offer negotiations.
  • Regulatory compliance
    Interprets, understands, stays current on state and federal regulations including immigration issues that govern recruitment activities. Also communicates appropriate information to clients groups and ensures information is disseminated to clients.

  • Extensive knowledge to include all aspects of Talent Acquisition
  • Extensive demonstrated skill areas including critical thinking, effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, planning, evaluating, assessing and problem solving for resolution.
  • High proficiency to work with all levels of the organization, prioritize responses to clients and support personnel.
  • Team commitment to HRD and the fostering of system recruitment for multi-disciplinary departments.
  • Interacts with all levels of management and influence decisions in a manner that is viewed as positive and collaborative.
