The Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) provides the technical knowledge, expertise and judgment required to support the Sharp HealthCare (SHC) mission and scope of lab outreach supply chain services. Performs new assigned tasks within acceptable training time intervals; meets department turnaround time goals. Demonstrates competency and efficient use of software applications and equipment. Checks inventory expiration dates and demonstrates ability to evaluate supply inventory to prevent shortages. Completes daily position tasks within expected timeframes to meet Quality Assurance indicator goal expectations. Identifies errors and follows-through with investigation, correction, documentation as directed by lab leadership.

This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
8-hour day shift: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm; including weekends as needed
This is a Full Time (1.0) Position: 80 hours per 2 week pay period
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science; OR three or more years of laboratory experience processing specimens, preparing specimens for analysis, assisting licensed/certified lab staff in performing testing procedures and processing
- Excellent direct customer service, communication and critical thinking skills
- Computer skills, data entry proficiency
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- College coursework in Chemistry or Biology
