Responsibilities

Summary

This position provides technical leadership for application solutions and/or other supporting technical team members encompassing both technical and functional aspects of the primary solutions and all dependent affiliated applications and modules.  Oversees and approves installations and configurations of application and associated technologies to ensure both vendor requirements and Sharp standards are fulfilled. Working closely with leadership, authors and enforces departmental standards, policies, and procedures to ensure continuity and consistency across platforms. Supervises, reviews, and approves new installations and operational configuration modifications to existing implementations.  Participates with technology partners and vendors to identify, define and implement both functional and technical enhancements.

Collaborates with system administrators, database administrators, subject matter experts and the application vendor to architect the hardware and software platforms to ensure the optimal strategy is implemented.

Authors and/or approves training and supporting documentation and coaches appropriate staff on relevant topics.

This is a float pool position through Staffing Resource Network (SRN).  The SRN department offers opportunities to experience a wide range of patient care at various sites within Sharp HealthCare. Sharp promotes quality patient-family centered care in a team environment with excellent customer service. This position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual willing to be a part of a dynamic float pool servicing all of Sharp HealthCare.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC).  These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system.  These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.

This position is located in Kearny Mesa

 

Hours

Per Diem, variable hours and shifts, weekends as needed

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years extensive and proficient experience managing complex application solutions including their underlying technologies and leading teams with the architecting, building, installing, configuring, monitoring, optimizing, maintaining and operational support of multiple applications in high availability 7/24 production environment

  • Must have both a broad and deep knowledge of the supported solution with a cross-domain, cross-functional and cross-industry proficiency

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field

  • Business Software Application Certification and minimum of one technology certification required, the department is responsible for tracking and maintaining certifications
