Responsibilities

Summary

Provides general systems administration support including implementation and maintenance for Axway and Managed Print Service systems. Perform data transmission functions, including creation and maintenance of transmissions with external and internal partners.Provide troubleshooting assistance, problem replication / duplication, and diagnostic support. Provide technical support for both the application and environment including operating system, database, and network. Assist support staff through complex issue resolution including customer meetings, status reports, and updates. Respond to phone, email, and web ticket customer issues within target service levels. Act as a gateway between the customer and the next level of resources; ensuring issues have met minimal requirements for escalation. Maintain current working knowledge of Axway products and Print-related technologies.Ensures operating system, driver, firmware, and layered product versions are current and compatible with operating system and application versions.

Partners with senior team members to coordinate and upgrade systems while maximizing system availability, integrity and compatibility. Works collaboratively with Information Systems, vendors and third parties to establish plans to migrate to new operating system, and or layered product versions; researching and documenting prerequisites, dependencies and version compatibilities between operating systems, applications, databases and client software. Identifies alternative approaches to minimize system downtime. Performs upgrades to the systems in the appropriate test environment and executes preliminary testing of upgrade. Analyzes and documents any issues arising from version upgrades.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.


Location:

This position is located in Kearny Mesa, area of San Diego.

 

Hours:

8-hour shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Weekends and On-Call as needed.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years experience in Information Systems

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • AS or AA in Computer Science, or related field 

  • Experience and alternative technical training may be substituted for Degree
