What You Will Do
To supervise and coordinate training and communications activities, as needed for the Sharp Community Medical Group's Electronic Health Record project.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 Years Training and education experience. It is encouraged that you please submit a cover letter that details your training experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Healthcare experience
  • California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - CA Board of Vocational Nursing & Psychiatric Technicians -PREFERRED
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -PREFERRED

Essential Functions

  • Communication
    Communicates project status, targets, activities and issues among SCMG staff. Obtains consensus and approval on required changes. Reports project status on a regular basis to SCMG management to assure understanding, agreement and attainment of project goals. Documents project status and maintains outstanding task lists.
  • Customer service
    Maintaining active relationships with all customers by continuously assessing needs, preferences and levels of satisfaction with tasks.
    Maintaining close contact with Senior Training Coordinator on all matters pertaining to the development or maintenance of application software.
    Assisting co-workers with tasks.
    Assisting with smooth implementation of new and existing procedures.
    Representing SCMG in a professional and competent manner.
    Dedication to enhancement and improvement of skills and departmental objectives.
  • Quality and project management
    Coordinates and assures delivery of outcomes from a matrix of several simultaneous projects. Uses appropriate prioritization, timing and creativity, so projects are completed on time and within resource constraints, as agreed to with affected parties.
    Assists SCMG management on special projects and supports other SCMG goals. These projects are performed in a cost-effective way, within established deadlines. Demonstrates ability to independently perform other departmental tasks not specific to training coordination.
    Participates in and offers suggestions (at least 2 per year) to improve departmental service, productivity and development. Keeps manager informed through monthly activity reports.
  • Trainer support and competency
    Conducts computer training and orientation of staff and co-workers in an efficient and economical manner.
    Evaluates effectiveness of the training programs. Compiles results of class evaluations.
    Executes action plans to ensure all part-time trainers meet and exceed established goals for user competency and understanding.
  • Training
    Coordinates resources such as participants, trainers, training rooms and equipment.
    Assures that training is customer focused and based on the needs identified by customers throughout the system.
    Establishes training materials and other tools to support educational objectives and are available to assure smooth integration of new systems.
