Responsibilities

Summary

The Training Coordinator will independently lead and coordinate training and communication activities, as needed for the Sharp Community Medical Group Physician Practice Solutions' Department and for the SCMG Connect product offering.

Maintains active, positive relationships with all customers by continuously assessing needs, preferences and levels of satisfaction with tasks.

Maintains close contact with Senior Training Coordinator on all matters pertaining to the development or maintenance of application software and training materials.

Facilitates sharing of information and knowledge amongst team members.

Assists co-workers with tasks.

Assists with smooth implementation of new and existing procedures.

Represents SCMG in a positive, professional and competent manner.

Demonstrates dedication to enhancement and improvement of skills and departmental objectives.

Develops, publishes and prepares training materials and presentations to support effective training.

Designs and prepares end-user exercises to validate learning and encourage participation in classroom settings.

Conducts computer training and orientation of staff and co-workers in an efficient and economical manner.

Evaluates effectiveness of the training programs. Compiles results of class evaluations.

Develops web-based training modules, classroom presentations and end-user exercises for use both in classroom and non classroom settings.

Proofreads and edits other Training Coordinators content to ensure accuracy and consistency with departmental standards.

This is a float pool position through Staffing Resource Network (SRN).  The SRN department offers opportunities to experience a wide range of patient care at various sites within Sharp HealthCare. Sharp promotes quality patient-family centered care in a team environment with excellent customer service. This position requires an enthusiastic, positive individual willing to be a part of a dynamic float pool servicing all of Sharp HealthCare.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC).  These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system.  These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.


Location

This position is located in Kearny Mesa

 

Hours

Per Diem, variable hours and shifts, weekends as needed

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

 

  • Ability to effectively work with SCMG management, staff, physicians and contract personnel; communicates clearly, concisely and accurately with people both verbally and in writing

  • Achieves results for the organization with and through people; practices good time management and demonstrates leadership skills and behaviors

  • Demonstrates knowledge of principles and methods for end-user instruction

  • Seeks specific knowledge related to the IPA business model and the healthcare market as a whole so as to understand and address training needs within SCMG and its practices

  • Minimum of two years training and education experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

  • Related coursework may be substituted for one year of experience.

  • Bachelor's degree with experience in a healthcare environment preferred
