This position is located in Serra Mesa.
Full time (1.00); start times: 8am to 4:30pm; 8:30am to 5pm; no weekends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior administrative / clerical experience in an outpatient healthcare setting, including insurance verification and authorization, and electronic scheduling.
- Proven successful customer service experience.
- Proven competence in the performance of basic office functions (answering incoming calls, filing, copying, faxing, word processing, etc).
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant desirable
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bilingual, English / Spanish.
The Transplant Assistant is responsible for the coordination of pre transplant administrative and clerical support and community outreach. The Transplant Assistant works closely with the multidisciplinary team members to support patient throughput through the transplant evaluation. The Transplant Assistant promotes compliance with JC Standards, UNOS bylaws and the CMS Conditions of Participation for Transplant and communicates/collaborates insurance authorization requirements to team members prior to scheduling diagnostic testing.
