Summary
As a Sharp Memorial Hospital Ultrasound Technologist, you will have an opportunity to work in a fast-paced health care environment.  Duties include scheduling orders, performing exams, preparing worksheets and sending images to PACS.  The Ultrasound Technologist scans in-patients, Emergency Department patients and outpatients.  Daily exams will include: OB, NICU, Invasive and general work.  Will scan complete and limited abdominal exams, pelvic, endo-vaginal, scrotum, neonatal and assist radiologists with interventional procedures.

Location
This position is located at Sharp Memorial Hospital in the community of Serra Mesa, San Diego County
 
Hours
10-hour variable shifts; weekends as needed
Must be willing to work Night shifts and weekends
Per Diem position
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal training program in an AMA approved school and meet the requirements of an appropriate State/or Federal mandated certificate or equivalent
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider
  • RDMS certification by the ARDMS
  • Perform all ultrasound studies according to protocol independently and efficiently Must be able to work independently
  • Must have great communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • One year Ultrasound experience; will consider new grad with strong clinical rotations from an accredited ultrasound program
