The Ultrasound Technologist will work in a collaborative team environment with Radiologists and radiology staff. This is an opportunity to work in a full service Radiology Department with multiple modalities that is fully PACs. The Ultrasound Technologist will scan outpatients and urgent care patients in outpatient setting. Daily exams would include OB, invasive and general work. Applicants must be competent in scanning complete and abdominal exams, pelvic, endo-vaginal, scrotum, small parts and assisting radiologist with interventional procedures. The Ultrasound Technologist will work independently and make timely decisions and focus on performance and results. Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers offers radiology services at 14 convenient locations throughout San Diego County. Our services are provided with state of the art digital and CR imaging equipment sent and stored in PACS. We offer services for General, Fluoroscopy, Dexa, Mammography, Ultrasonography, CT and MRI imaging needs. Our Radiology staff are highly trained and certified to meet the needs of San Diego Community. Sharp Rees-Stealy – Mira Mesa Medical Center, San Diego, Ca; will be required to float to other Sharp Rees Stealy Medical Centers as patient volumes may required
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Ultrasound
- Current RDMS by the ARDMS
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Working knowledge of all multiple Ultrasound Procedures
- Excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Must be flexible with schedule and work location
- One or more years recent experience in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Certification in Breast required within 6 months after hire
