Vice President of Enterprise Analytics IT
Working with Sharp’s senior leadership, establishes strategic vision and develops corporate strategy as it relates to the use, analysis, and distribution of data/information across the continuum of care. Responsible for the development, maintenance, and communication of Sharp’s enterprise data and analytics vision, strategy, and roadmap. In collaboration with analytics/reporting leadership across the system, identifies the data and analytic requirements to enable Sharp to meet the goals of its strategic plan. Helps resolve conflicts and create alignment of analytic strategies within the different business units.
Partners with Information Systems and the business units to develop long-term resource capability/capacity planning for data and analytics including the identification of resource requirements and gaps and the development of budget estimates and timeframes. Works with the Senior VP/CIO to align data and analytics priorities within the broader IT strategic planning process. Develops corporate strategy regarding training needs for the areas of analytics, business intelligence, and reporting across the enterprise and provides thought leadership for that function. Provides strategic oversight of Sharp's Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Governance Program Office.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of seven (7) years increasingly responsible data analytics and/or information technology roles, including programmer/analyst and management experience
- Minimum of five (5) years in a complex, multi-entity health care system that included a broad scope of technical, professional and/or management experience with extensive interaction at all levels of management and staff.
- Experience specific to Decision Support/Clinical Analytics/Business Intelligence in a healthcare environment strongly desired.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Health Care Administration. Coursework to include information systems, management, accounting/finance, analytics, and quantitative skills.
VP Enterprise Analytics
•Chairs (or Co-Chairs) the Enterprise Analytics Steering committee and the Data Governance Steering Committee, helping to lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of strategies necessary to support the business intelligence, analytics, and data requirements of the organization.
•Develops, maintains, and communicates Sharp’s enterprise data and analytics vision, strategy, and roadmap, revising on an annual basis in line with Sharp’s strategic planning process.
•Sponsors strategic data & analytics projects (e.g. predictive analytics) to ensure Sharp stays at the forefront of technological and analytic advancements in the support of Sharp’s vision.
•Working with the Senior VP/CIO, identify and enact strategies for alignment of data and analytics priorities within the broader IT strategic planning process.
•Responsible for advising and developing strategies for the use of business intelligence, analytics, and dashboard development across Sharp HealthCare, in partnership with Information Systems and other business unit leaders.
•Partners with senior leaders of the organization to ensure ongoing development and implementation of analytic strategies and key performance metrics, both process and outcomes, necessary to further Sharp’s vision of being the best place to work, practice medicine, and receive care.
•Provides strategic oversight for both the Enterprise Data Warehouse staff and the Data Governance Program Office.
•Partners with IT and line of business leadership on the identification and selection of products and tools to support the analytics needs of the organization.
•In collaboration with analytics/reporting leadership across the system, identifies the data and analytic requirements to enable Sharp to meet the goals of its strategic plan.
•Works with senior leadership to resolve conflicts and create alignment of analytic strategies within the different business units.
•Oversees the development and implementation of a training strategy as it relates to analytics, business intelligence, and reporting.

- Ability to effectively provide oversight for a professional staff within Sharp including other management team members.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, all levels of management and staff, consultants, vendors, representatives from regulatory bodies

- Thorough knowledge of national healthcare information technology initiatives and organizations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position provides a very competitive compensation, including opportunity to participate in a system-wide incentive program along with a generous benefit package.
Incumbent spends 5-6 hours per day sitting at desk, computer terminal or meeting table. Use telephone frequently; must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone. Must be able to calmly and professionally respond to frequent deadlines for reports and related tasks, and to prepare work and presentations on short notice. Must be able to respond calmly and professionally to telephone or face-to-face contact from frustrated users/clients.
