$61.740 - $70.170 - $90.160The stated pay scale reflects the range as defined by the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and Sharp Professional Nurses Network, United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, NUHHCE, AFSME, AFL-CIO. Placement within the range is based on years of RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of a U.S. state-approved and accredited nursing program.
- Must have a current unencumbered California RN license by the program start date.
- Must have graduated no more than 18 months prior to the start date of the Nurse Residency program (graduation date no earlier than February 2025)
- Must have less than 12 months of RN work experience on the start date of the Nurse Residency Program.
- Must have a current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification for a healthcare provider by program start date.
Note: If required by the specific unit, additional certifications including AHA ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, NRP, or others, must be completed by the program start date.

Review each clinical area/program requirement prior to beginning the application process. During the application process, you will be asked to select a preferred unit/program of interest and an alternate. The units that will be accepting New Grads for the summer cohort are listed below. Units that are only accepting intra-unit candidates (only open to current employees of that department), or internal candidates (only open to Sharp employees) will be so defined in the list below, and in the application questionnaire. If you apply to a unit you are ineligible for, your application will not be reviewed for that unit, and we cannot guarantee submission to your alternate or another unit. Prior to submitting your application, please verify the accuracy of all information entered.

We are the innovations unit with outside the box thinking. 2S/1S are ICU Step-Down units serving higher acuity patients. Types of patients can include but not limited to sepsis chronic respiratory failure. Mechanical ventilation titratable drips etc

The new graduate role will focus on providing in-patient level of care and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team during a 12-18 day stay.

Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital – Adult Locked Unit - South Rotunda (SR)
Recruiting: External
Purpose (of unit): Our South Rotunda (SR) is a locked unit, which provides care for a small number of patients at one time, allowing for focused and personalized interaction. Nurses are present 24 hours a day and staff members round continuously with patients to ensure safety for everyone. We offer daily therapy groups that incorporate themes from our hospital-wide Recovery Action Plan workbook, including psychology, recreational therapy, medication education and nutrition. We strongly encourage group participation to facilitate a successful recovery.
