Final Selection & Offer Process
If you are selected by our hiring manager and offered an employment opportunity with Sharp HealthCare, you will work directly with a Sharp recruiter who will guide you through every detail of your offer. This includes your shift and start date, qualifications and expectations, compensation and benefits, as well as what to expect during preboarding leading up to your first day.
Once a verbal offer is made, you’ll receive your official electronic offer letter in your Workday account. Review and accept your offer online to begin your preboarding journey.

Preboarding at Sharp HealthCare
Congratulations on your offer! Before your first day, all hired candidates will complete the following steps to ensure a smooth transition:
- Welcome Call — A member of our Preboarding team will connect with you to review next steps and answer any questions. Dawn, our automated scheduling assistant, will help schedule your call.
- Background Check & Employment Verification — We will conduct a background check and verify your employment history.
- Education, Licenses, and Certifications — All required education, professional licenses, and certifications for your role must be verified prior to your start date.
- Employee Health Screening — Our Employee Health Department will coordinate your urine drug screen, TB screening, physical exam, and ensure compliance with California Department of Public Health requirements.
- I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification — An HR specialist will schedule an appointment to verify your eligibility to work in the U.S.

New Employee Orientation (NEO)
Welcome to Sharp HealthCare! Your journey begins with New Employee Orientation. Once all preboarding requirements are complete, a Sharp Preboarding Specialist will confirm your NEO date. This is an exciting day to officially start your career with Sharp.
Sharp hosts NEO weekly, giving you the opportunity to connect with fellow new hires, Human Resources, and Senior Leadership. During orientation, you’ll learn about Sharp’s Mission and Values and discover what makes Sharp the best place to work, the best place to practice medicine, and the best place to receive care.

Yes. Sharp HealthCare follows the Drug-Free Workplace Act. After an offer is extended to a qualified candidate, the candidate is required to complete a urine drug screen. To learn more about the drug screening testing process, read our Post-Offer Drug Screen Frequently Asked Questions.

Employee referral bonus
Specific positions offer referring employees a cash employee referral bonus. If eligible, the referring employee will receive the referral bonus specified once the new employee has been employed with Sharp for 90 days.
Employee referral drawing
All employees that refer a potential new employee are eligible to enter a quarterly employee referral drawing. Once the referred candidate has been employed with Sharp for 90 days, the referring employee will be eligible to win exciting prizes.
All current Sharp HealthCare employees are eligible for the Employee Referral Program except for supervisors and above, physicians and human resources employees.
