Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$39.231 - $50.621 - $62.011


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
This position supports event audiovisual production in all SPIEC bookable spaces or in other Sharp spaces.

In conjunction with the SPIEC Manager and the Technical Producer, this position may assist in project management, the development of appropriate policies/procedures, and serves as a tier-one escalation point for the team and all customers as it relates to the audiovisual needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree video production, multimedia, electronic communication or related field of study.
  • 5 Years in the AV industry that includes working in a customer service/end-user support role.
  • Experience working on commercial AV systems either in installation and support or rental and staging.
  • Hands-on experience audio mixing consoles and video switching/production equipment.
  • Experience installing, configuring, supporting and solving technical issues for AV systems that include control, video conferencing and other AV devices connected to a computer network.
  • Driver's License - CA Department of Motor Vehicles -REQUIRED


Other Qualification Requirements

  • Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage. Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.
  • CTS Certification is preferred.


Essential Functions

  • Technical Support
    Working in all SPIEC bookable spaces or other areas within Sharp, troubleshoots and supports installed and portable audiovisual systems.
    Troubleshoots high-level technical issues and supports existing AV systems in person and via remote computer connection.
    Troubleshoot high-level technical issues and assists with the systems on-going maintenance and support efforts.
    Assist Producer with hands-on operation of the video and audio production systems during live events and for video recording sessions. Systems will include an audio mixing console with Dante Network Audio capabilities and a NewTek Tricaster 1 Pro IP based video production system, as well as other video production hardware and software.
    PTZ camera setup and switching, integrating visual assets and media files, lower thirds and graphics, live remote quests via Microsoft Teams, managing and queuing guest and audience microphones and inputs, and video routing to video walls and streaming endpoints, etc.
  • Event Support
    Work with the events team to help with the technical implementation of their event plan. This will include providing the events team with knowledge and education about the on-site video production systems features and capabilities that can contribute to the success of event manager’s plan with a polished and professional production result.
    Assist with meetings and events including AV equipment setup and strike. This includes supporting the event managers and auditorium Technical Producer in the planning and technical implementation of meetings and events.
    Troubleshoot and provide creative solutions to support the event planners in the implementation of their creative goals for the event.
  • Department Support
    Assist Technical Producer with presentations design and creation– embedding graphics and video in alignment with established brand standards.
    Manage The Sharp Experience division's multi-media files, ensuring files are accessible, secure, and well-inventoried and catalogued. Responsible for file conversion, video compression, and video manipulation.
    Provide support for the content and layout on the Sharp University site. Maintaining the Sharp University/Sharp Experience sites on SharpNET, ensuring information is up-to-date and easy to access.
    Additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    Manage all technical equipment for The Sharp Experience division: check technical equipment at Spectrum once a month, manage technical needs of team as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer networking and information technology skills.
  • Strong knowledge of audiovisual best practices, skilled trouble-shooter, excellent customer service skills, detail-oriented, internally motivated, personable, and able to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
