“March to 100” Sharp HealthCare Employee Referral Opportunity

On January 15, 2023, Sharp HealthCare is launching a referral bonus campaign opportunity. Sharp Healthcare employees have an opportunity to refer external full time and part time experienced clinical bedside registered nurses to any of our four acute-care hospitals or three specialty hospitals. The employee opportunity is a $2,500 dollar award for referring an RN who successfully completes our hiring process into one of the clinical nurse bedside RN positions. A team, including the Sharp HRTM recruitment and payroll depts will continually evaluate RN postings and referrals to ensure a seamless process that supports our commitment to the march toward hiring 100 RNs to Sharp HealthCare.

What success looks like?

100 Hospital based bedside clinical bedside RNs are hired, onboarded, and caring for patients.

What we need from you?

Provide a referral for an RN to any of our bedside RN open positions. All referrals are welcome and desired, the positions of greatest need and highest priority include our operating rooms, emergency departments, intensive care units, and progressive care units.

How do you refer a candidate?

There are several ways to refer a candidate.   Your name must be on the application to receive the referral bonus.

  1. View Workday Referral job aid that will send the job opening attached to the employee referral. 
  2. Ask the candidate to include your name as a referral on the application.
  3. On the career website, you can share the job opening with candidates on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Email.

Are there limits to the number of referrals or the amount of $$$ an employee can earn?

There are no limits to what an eligible employee can earn for referral bonuses. Excluded from the referral program are HRTM, direct hiring management chain, and executives.  

Are certain positions excluded from the referral program?

Generally, per diem positions are excluded although there may be special targeted campaigns based on recruitment needs that may be approved.    Rehired employees who return in less than a year, and internal referrals of existing employees for openings, are excluded.

When are referral bonuses paid?

Bonuses are paid after the employee has reached 90-days of successful completion of employment.  Bonuses will be included in the referring employee paycheck with applicable taxes applied.

Are there other benefits associated with referral bonuses?

Employees whose referrals successfully complete 90-days at Sharp are placed in a drawing to win quarterly prizes and a grand prize. Learn More
