As a child recovering from third-degree burns, Arely spent hours under the care of professionals at Sharp HealthCare. Their patience and compassion made a lasting impression and shaped her desire to one day give that same care to others.


Today, she walks the same halls she once did as a patient, providing care to people who need it most. “I’ve always wanted to treat others the way I was treated,” Arely says.


Her path back to Sharp wasn’t easy. She started as a nursing assistant, balancing night shifts with clinicals and continuing her education to become a Surgical Technologist — all at the hospital that once helped her heal.


For Arely, Sharp is more than a workplace. It’s a place of memories, resilience, and inspiration. From a child facing unimaginable pain to a professional committed to helping others, her story comes full circle: a living testament to the power of giving back.
