Carissa’s thriving in a career built on trust, support and care



Carissa’s journey with Sharp HealthCare began as a new graduate nurse eight years ago. Since then, her passion has driven her to earn her current role of lead nurse. When talking about her time with Sharp, Carissa’s eyes light up while describing what it means to be part of a community that is always there for her through thick and thin.

Few understand the meaning of the Sharp experience better than Carissa. Not only has she been a part of delivering it to patients—she has also been on the receiving end of it. After losing a pregnancy in 2021, Sharp was there for her in ways she didn’t expect. The unwavering support she experienced then has been a constant throughout her career with Sharp. Including in 2023, when we were honored to celebrate the birth of a healthy baby boy with her.
