$25.550 - $31.860 - $35.680The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
What You Will Do
The Contracts Assistant supports the SCMG Contracts/Capitation Administration Department with contract administration and management, corresponds with physicians and vendors, and provides audit support and claims research. Assists with the establishment of new and updated provider contracts. Ensures that vendor specific information is maintained and distributed throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field
- 2 Years in a clerical capacity with intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare contracts or related.
- Experience in maintaining positive working relationships with Physicians and Provider representatives.
- Experience with SharePoint.
Other Qualification Requirements
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or other related field; experience may substitute for education. - Required
Essential Functions
- Contract Administration
Supports with the delivery, tracking, and distribution of vendor agreements and amendments.
Supports the department with contractual terms and reimbursement data.
Ensures the department contract and vendor database remains current.
Ensures contract information is communicated to appropriate internal departments to ensure accurate contract claim/encounter pricing and other contractual terms.
Assists the department with research on claims issues.
Assists the department with contracts and claims audits.
Assists with the development of reports necessary to support the department.
Assists the department by validating providers for continued participation with SCMG.
Assists with other duties as assigned, to be completed in an agreed upon format in an agreed upon time frame.
Demonstrates teamwork by participating in achieving department goals. Shows willingness to help with any task to ensure the success of the department. Works in a spirit of cooperation with all Sharp employees. - Clerical Duties
Responds to telephone, email, and fax communications.
Maintains office supplies for the department.
Ensures all paper-based agreements are converted into electronic files. - Quality and Customer Service:
Provides operational support to internal and external customers.
Assists in project coordination across the various SCMG departments.
Maintains service orientation to representatives of SCMG through consistent assessment of needs and timely response to requests. - Regulatory Compliance
Maintains work place in safe condition. Assure appropriate chair height, keyboard and screen placement, securing electrical wiring, observing departmental safety policies and procedures. Reports safety hazards within 1-3 days from time problem first identified.

- Must be PC literate and able to type 45 words per minute.
