Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$39.435 - $50.884 - $62.333


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.



What You Will Do
To manage the ongoing development, efficiency, and organization of Sharp HealthCare's Privacy program initiatives system wide. Provides direct support to the Privacy Director with the on-going management, monitoring and effectiveness of Privacy imperatives, projects, investigations, and processes. Provides support and resources to the Privacy Department, internal and external target audiences. Acts as professional interface between Sharp Healthcare leadership, physicians, clinicians, and staff employees.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or other Health Care field.
  • 5 Years experience working in California at a Healthcare Provider supporting privacy program/initiatives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) - Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) -PREFERRED
  • Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) - Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) -PREFERRED


Essential Functions

  • Privacy Program Support
    Manage and organize monthly and/or quarterly Board and Privacy Committee meetings.
    Collaborates with cross-functional teams and department staff and management, physicians, and external agencies.
    Research relevant Privacy regulatory changes and/or issues and develop SHC interpretation on regulatory requirements.
    Communicate/educate the Privacy Committee and SHC Workforce.
    Create and publish Privacy newsletters/training documents for staff and/or workforce as needed.
    Manage and keep track of federal and state privacy regulatory updates and changes.
    System administrator for Privacy Policy Management, acting as a resource for users, assisting with developing policies.
    Develops and delivers Privacy training and communications to address a variety of Privacy issues and programs including annual Privacy training.
    Manage and update the internal and external Privacy web pages.
  • Privacy Audit & Monitoring
    Manage Privacy Auditing and Monitoring program, by taking ownership of monthly auditing and monitoring efforts.
    Independently conducts investigations of suspected and reported violations of laws and policies. Presents findings to include assessment of potential liability and impact.
    Research, analyze and assess Sharp’s potential Privacy risks using SHC’s risk assessment data, federal and state, industry resources, Privacy/Privacy trends, etc.
    System administrator for Privacy Incident Management System, executing investigations, monitoring investigations for Privacy with policies and procedures, developing and running reports.
  • Key Stakeholder/Business Unit Support
    Responsible for answering correspondence from key stake holders regarding Privacy matters and other general privacy inquiries.
    Prioritize inquiries from key stakeholders and lead project-specific tasks and reporting.
    Maintain professional relationship with key stakeholders focusing on high level of client satisfaction.
    Communicate regularly and effectively with key stakeholders and upper management.
